Everas promotes community education as an avenue to increased acceptance and inclusion of people with specialized needs. As a movement, it is critical for people to be aware of the challenges and achievements of people with disabilities so that the momentum of progress in the advancement of rights, opportunities, and availability of quality services in the community continues.
TRAINING CLASSES AT EVERAS
Everas maintains an extensive training calendar that we provide to our staff to ready them for the direct care service environment. Classes include SFA/CPR; Basic Sign Language I and II, Universal Precautions, Nutrition, Behavior Management, Crisis Management, Sight Guide Support and more. Family members and community members are welcome to join classes.
PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT TRAINING
Everas can provide training to your program staff on communication techniques, sighted guide support, adaptive equipment, behavior management and specialized personal care techniques for people who you may provide services to. Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Home Health Agencies, Schools, and other service providers may be confronted with the challenge of providing services to a person with specialized needs without the experience to ensure proper communication and support. Everas can provide your staff with the basic skills training they need to ensure positive outcomes for the people in your care.
